Brightness/Contrast

you use brightness and contrast to make a photo brighter or darker. or you can use it to lighten and darken the colours of the image

Changing the options

i changed the brightness of this image down to make it more clear this darkened the sky and revealed more details in the image i really like this image i like the sense of distance that it has  

Layers

 this is an example of layers as you can see in the image only the bottom layer is visable i did this using the eye tool just next to the layer you can use this to view your images before and after editing to make decisions on what you have to do 

This is the second layer that i have made visable i deleted alex's face creating a mask i'm going to use this to add another image in the shape of this mask

this is the finished image and i quite like it apart from the edges of the mask that i need to soften
