Photoshop Workshop *1

(Renaming Image Files)
Double clicking gently and slowly on an image allows you to edit an images name you can also use adobe photoshops save as feature to change this.

(Image Type)

Saving as a .jpg is fine for printing test images and web uploading but there is a loss of quality from resaving an image
Saving as a .PSD is a good way of saving images for final pieces and it saves all the layers you have edited too but the filesize can increase dramatically a small .jpg image after being edited and saved through photoshop can reach 24mb or higher.

(Image Size/Resolution)
Image size all depends on what you need it for.
Resolution 72/150 is fine for printing because you don't need any more detail.

for final images that will be printed at a much higher resolution use around 300

after changing the resolution of an image if you decide to change back you will lose alot of quality that the image used to have because it stretches the pixels and colour data is lost
