Paper Type

File>New>International paper from here you can select all the different international paper sizes like A1 A2 A3 A4 A5

Paper Size

From here you can change the name of your document and the paper size from here i am using the size A4 because it is a standard print size and a resolution of 300 because any higher for a standard A4 print isn't necessary 

Adding Images to the canvas

From here i dragged and dropped my images into the photoshop A4 document this image was as big as the canvas so i decided to shrink the image down 

Changing the image scale

Using the shift key to lock the axis so all of the image will move at the same time i shrank the image down to a more useful size that i can work with then i pressed enter to say i have finished scaling my image because if you leave the transform tools open you cant do any other actions through photoshop
