evaluation
for this photoshop project i didn't really like the fact that i had to re-create a photo i dont know why but i just couldn't find anything i really liked and wanted to recreate so i found that quite difficult but in the end i eventually found my inspiration in graffiti and took it from there but apart from that i wasnt really using anything new that i found it was just one of the most difficult choices i have ever had to make.

3d imagery photographers
These photo's were taken by Lars Brandt stisen by making a stereoscopic camera kit.
this was done by getting two screw mount cases and cutting the lid off them. and screwing two Pentax cameras into the cases so the bottoms of each cameras are touching then he put the shutter release cables in both of them and hooked them both up to a handle with a trigger that will trigger both camera's simultaneously.

The camera that he uses to take the photo's
these are the photo's he takes they are really good at standing out and have alot of depth to them
his images are very selective in what stands out this makes the images very unique it creates a good historical feel to it which i really like. i also like the fact that he has used a film camera for this which to me shows that film can still keep up with modern techniques.
Creating 3d images with photoshop.
this is a simple technique to create 3d images in photoshop.
this is a simple technique to create 3d images in photoshop.
First you duplicate your layer and then go to image>adjustments>layers
Then bring the red channel down to 0
It will now look like this
Then you do the same to the green and blue channel on the bottom layer
then you press M to get the move tool and move the top layer down and to the right slightly and it will create your final 3d image
This is a black and white 3d image that i have done
this is 3d text that i havae created im not sure about this one really but because i cant really see 3d images i cant really judge if they are good or not. but i got some other peoples opinions on it and apparently it works
This Photo was taken by standing in the same place but first with the left eye then with the right eye then using the same method as before i combined them in photoshop

Creating a more different style of border
select the marquee tool and select your area then choose select>inverse to choose the outside border
select the marquee tool and select your area then choose select>inverse to choose the outside border
then choose the quick mask tool
then go to filter>distort>ocean ripple this will create a ripple effect around the border of the image.
i chose a strong ripple for the border then used the eraser tool to erase the edges around it
the finished piece
Creating a Zoom Effect
select the area you want to be the focus of the zoom effect you are creating you also need to feather the image using the feather tool
then go to blur>radial blur
First choose the marquee tool
select the area you want to be the focus of the zoom effect you are creating you also need to feather the image using the feather tool
go to select inverse this will make the selection the area around the circle
then go to blur>radial blur
select zoom this is so it looks like a zoom effect if you wanted to choose spin that would spin the image and create a more dizzy effect
this is the final result

Midnight Digital
Midnight digital is a photographer who does post apocalyptic photography much like what i want to do for my fujifilm project. the images are portrature but with a rich detailed scene. all these photo's are shot in abandoned buildings also.
personally i think all these photo's are significant. because they all have their own style and are very original.
all the work is heavily influenced by film and television and graphic novels.
all the colours in the images create a very dark and moody scene the colours are very bleak but there are grand splashes of color that really direct your eye too them.
the images are viewed on the internet since the person is a flickr user.
the work reminds me of films such as blade runner and aliens also graphic novels the work looks alot like the style that graphics novels have.
these pieces really inspire me i would love to do something like this. my fujifilm project will also have a similar post apocalyptic feel but i wont be doing a composite image because i dont want to use photoshop.
